Kenya

In December of 2016 I was fortunate enough to have been invited by Ambassadors of World Wildlife, a non-profit organization dedicated to stopping poaching, to travel to Africa and document their efforts in training and outfitting local rangers. While there I was able to experience the amazing culture and hospitality of the Kenyan people, and was awe-struck by the country's natural beauty and wildlife. During this trip, the organization was able to equip the rangers with much needed and modern equipment, as well as provide them with medical training and equipment.

The story of the Gallman Conservancy is a very complicated one, and they face many challenges from poaching, to land invasion from illegal herders and militias. This trip was successful in bringing awareness to the Kenyan's situation, as well as the generous and courageous efforts of Ambassadors of World Wildlife. It was a pleasure and an honor to be a part of this amazing experience, and I will be forever humbled by it.

For more information on ways to help end poaching and to bring much-needed equipment to the people risking their lives on the ground, check out the Ambassadors of World Wildlife website at http://www.ambassadorsofworldwildlife.org, and follow them on Facebook for updates on the current situation in Africa, and around the world.
